About this event

Help Greenbelt Land Trust protect the Willamette Valley! Join us for a volunteer workday to remove invasive scotch broom from our restored wetland prairies at Evergreen Property.

As a volunteer, you'll help us clear invasive scotch broom from our open meadows at Evergreen Property. This hands-on work will protect native prairie species and restore the health of these vital wetlands. We'll provide all the tools and gloves you need.

This project will take us on a 1-2 mile off-trail hike through uneven terrain to reach the scotch broom removal site. Be prepared for limited sun and rain cover.

We encourage youth volunteers to join us, but all participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We need 10 volunteers in total.

Important Information:

  • No picnic tables or seating except the ground.
  • No portable restrooms are available on-site.
  • Bring your own bottled water to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Take note: Directions will be sent one week in advance.

Free parking is available on-site, no permit required.
