Our online training classes are available to help early childhood professionals complete their required annual training hours and enhance their knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care for Nevada’s children.This platform is used for statewide web-based training courses and require registration on both Eventbrite and GoToTraining.Supporting Early Education and Development (SEED) works collaboratively with other agencies to provide opportunities for education and training in the field of early childhood through workshops and self-guided training materials.The Children’s Cabinet must follow Nevada Registry training guidelines in issuing credit for our webinar training’s. The Nevada Registry states,  “To receive credit for attending a training, it is imperative that attendees be present at the training for the entire scheduled time frame. If the accumulated time out of class (including late arrivals, extended breaks and early departures) extends beyond 15 minutes total, then no class credit should be granted. Learning which STEM Abilities 21st century youth (ages 6-16) need for success and how your afterschool can support the development of these skills in fun and interactive ways.Training Objectives:1﻿.Participants will learn the importance of good observation skills and how to foster these to youth2﻿.Participants will be introduced and explore STEM Abilities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics3﻿.Participants will learn how to identify ways to incorporate appropriate teaching and opportunities in afterschool settings that develop STEM abilities.Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
