OSHA 30 "PLUS"

The Blue Ridge Safety Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the safety and health of people in central and western Virginia, through education and training. The Blue Ridge Safety Association partners with area Safety Networks.Training programs, seminars and on-site visits by the area Safety Networks provide a wide range of educational and training opportunities for businesses and industries. Most of these programs are offered either free or at a very low cost to cover meals and expenses. Training courses can be tailored to an individual site's needs and conducted on site.

The Blue Ridge Safety Association is excited to offer this special OSHA 30 “Plus” Course. 
The 30-hour General Industry course will include:  Introduction to OSHA  Managing Safety and Health  Walking and Working Surfaces  Exit Routes and Fire Prevention Plans  Electrical  Personal Protective Equipment  Materials Handling  Hazard Communication  Confined Space  Lock Out / Tag Out  Machine Guarding  Fall Protection  Powered Industrial Trucks  Bloodborne Pathogens 
As part of the OSHA 30 course, on May 11th, a special presentation will be held by OSHA litigation attorney, Travis Vance, on the topic: OSHA Inspections and Citation Defense – Everything that managers and supervisors say can and will be used against them and the company in an OSHA inspection. Do your managers and supervisors know what to do when OSHA knocks?
 Location: We will be hosting the four days of class at various locations in the Harrisonburg/Charlottesville area so students can be exposed to several safety environments and procedures. They are as follows:
