Orlando, Florida - Cady Way & Cross Seminole Trails

-Smart-guided Cycle Tour

A great early morning, evening, or snowbird tour destination to experience a bit of both Orlando's Cady Way and Cross Seminole Trails.

There are a lot of reasons to visit Orlando, Florida. Add this CycleNuts smart-guided cycling tour to your agenda - or make this tour your agenda. Either way, this short route will get your wheels on two renowned Orlando area bikeways - the Cross Seminole and Cady Way trails. The tour starts out at Friendly Park and connects to the Cross Seminole Trail via a half mile of roadway that has a wide sidewalk along one side with street access ramps the total way. Feeling adventurous? Easily add miles to the route by taking in the whole length of both trails.

The Cross Seminole Trail is a wide well-maintained 20-year-old rail-to-trail built in 2002 - one of the area's first rail-to-trails. In total it is about 28 miles, but this tour only uses about 5 miles of it to connect to the Cady Way Trail.

The Cady Way Trail brings the tour to the northeast Orlando Lake Baldwin area, connecting with the Lake Baldwin Loop, a two and a half mile eight-foot-wide trail circling the lake. Off the loop trail is an area with shops and restaurants, the tour's midway point. The Cady Way Trail is heavily shaded and passes through scenic Orlando neighborhoods.

This 26-mile smart-guided bicycle tour route is 92% bikeway and comes with CycleNuts' 50% downhill guarantee. Except for a short segment sharing the road to connect the starting spot to the Cross Seminole Trail, the tour route is dedicated wide-paved bikeways. These are rail-to-trail bikeways that follow the flat topography of the land. All bikes are appropriate for this smart-guided tour. Bring your bike or rent one near the starting spot (see confirmation information for listings). Sweating is optional (although... it is Florida - very hot and humid, especially in the summer months). You set your own pace, starting time and touring agenda with CycleNuts' expert smart-guided cycle tour pattern.
