About this event

Orientation and Family Programs is excited to kick off our First Year Orientations in May, welcoming our new students and families to FIU! We are excited to bring back the Engagement Extravaganza where department, offices, and student organization will be tabling in a fair-like manner to share resources and information given to new students and families.

It is your department/office/student organization's choice to participate in the sessions. Please note that participation this year is a full commitment to all Orientation dates, whether the session is hosted at MMC or BBC, to provide a consistent experience to all students. Spots are limited per session. There is a wait list option, so we encourage you to register early should you choose to participate in all sessions.

The Orientation dates are listed in the following page by event date. The time commitment will be from 3:05pm-4:00pm. Check in will begin at 2:15pm with final set up by 2:35pm. If you show up past 2:35pm on the day of the event, your table will be forfeited for that day.

Please review the Eventbrite signup form for additional information. As a reminder, only one registration is needed per department/office/student organization. Please plan with your team to ensure there are no duplicate registrations for your area.

NOTE: June 7, June 25, June 26 and December 4 are sessions at the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) at the Wolfe University Center Ballrooms. The rest of the session dates are at the Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC) GC Corridor.

A member of the Student Life and Development team will be checking you in, you can choose any table you would like.

Should you have questions about this or any other tabling policies, please contact Stephen Dominy at sdominy@fiu.edu. Thanks!
