This training is open to community members in Oregon - primarily the Portland Metro Area.
Lines for Life is proud to offer this free 2-hour training virtually to community members as part of our mission to prevent suicide and promote mental wellness.
QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention curriculum that teaches community members to:
- Recognize someone at risk
- Ask a person about thoughts of suicide
- Support a person in seeking help
- Offer hope
In order to participate in this training, you will need to have access to technology that allows for you to join a Zoom meeting. We request that you have the ability to have your video on during this training, but if you are unable to have video you can still participate.

Material covered in this training includes discussion about suicide and mental health, which we recognize can be sensitive topics. Safety is a priority for all audience members during our training, so we ask for an emergency contact as part of our safety protocol.
You will receive a certificate following the training that shows 2 clock hours of credit (since our training is 2 hours). You can utilize that certificate to claim CEUs from your respective board/organization.
Certification remains active for 1 year from the date you were trained.
No. This training is intended for individuals that currently work or reside in the state of Oregon. If you do not meet this requirement, let us know. We are happy to help find a QPR training being offered in your area. Please contact us at QPR@linesforlife.org.
