Oregon City Subaru Presents: The Showdown - A fundraiser and Oregon City community event built around an all-day hybrid fitness competition. There are festival area challenges, vendors with both free goodies and some items for sale, food and beverages for purchase, kids activities including the Kids Combine courtesy of the Oregon City Optimists, raffle prizes, and more, creating an unforgettable experience for the whole family!

About the beneficiary: 4D Recovery

4D provides the support and guidance needed to navigate addiction recovery. They help young adults find and maintain a recovery identity through peer mentorship, supportive housing, drop-in recovery centers, recovery events, and a leadership development program. Recognizing the enormous challenge that stigma poses to our communities as a barrier to recovery, 4D is committed to dismantling stigma within our community's language as a key strategy for tackling the addiction and overdose crisis.

Trial 1: 4D Recovery - Decontamination Run - Top M/F will each receive $100 courtesy of Core Fitness pdx

Trial 2: Eastside Kettlebell Collective - Slingshot - Top M/F will each receive $100 courtesy of Eastside Kettlebell Collective

Trial 3: Zoeys Dojo - Burden Of A Titan - Top M/F will each receive $100 courtesy of Zoeys Dojo

The Showdown is for hardcore athletes. The first 3 trials are guaranteed with your registration. Only the top 20 (M/F) athletes, known as Champions, qualify to advance in the 4th Trial after intermission. Then three head to head elimination style events weed through the Champions until only one male and one female remain . . . Victorious!

Core Fitness pdx - The Combine is for all individuals who wish to test their speed, strength, and endurance in a consistent manner. If this would be your first combine, then set your baseline score so you can have the opportunity to beat it in the future!

For those that are looking to compete with others, the top 10 scores are listed on an 'all time record' leaderboard. Do you have what it takes to rise to the top?

Oregon City Optimists - Kids Combine: (Up to 15 years of age with parental consent)

Trial 1: Shuttle Run - A Test Of Speed

Complete a 5, 10, 15 yard shuttle run - pressing a buzzer so that it lights up before returning to the start each time - as fast as possible.

Trial 2: Sandbag Toss - A Test Of Strength

Throw 3 kettlebell sandbags - 4, 8, & 12 pounds - as far as possible.

Trial 3: Ball Over Bar - A Test Of Endurance

Lift a medicine ball - 2.2, 6.6, 11.0, 13.2, or 15.4 pounds - over a bar, and complete as many reps as possible in 60 seconds.

The Kids Combine is designed to be very similar in nature to the adult combine and tests speed, strength, and endurance. A medallion will be awarded once all three tests have been completed. At the heart, these young athletes are competing against themselves, but ultimately they are training to one day compete for the adult title!

*Although the Kids Combine is FREE we ask that you sign up your young one on the same Eventbrite page as "The Combine" (link above) to help us prepare for the number of participants.

Spectator Information:

All spectators are FREE and will have the opportunity to play some games. Additionally for the kids, there will be a Kids Combine, courtesy of the Oregon City Optimists.

There will also be food and beverage options for purchase, as well as other vendors with some items for sale & some free goodies just for hearing about what they have to offer. Come for the whole day as athletes put forth their best efforts during the qualifiers. Or if you're not a morning person or have other morning plans, that's okay too. It is totally worth it to arrive later as the most intense part of the action doesn't start until noon. Just before the end there will be a bunch of raffle prizes which you can purchase tickets for all throughout the day. Must be present to win.

This is a community event & fundraiser for 4D Recovery with the focus of supporting local businesses, and providing everyone with an experience they will never forget. Thank you for your support!
