Join industry experts and local farmers to explore the possibilities for orchard production and management in Northern Nevada.

Discuss which varieties are promising in this climate; and learn about site selection, irrigation, pest and disease control, pruning and soil nutrition management. If you are considering commercial orchard production, this workshop will give you a broad overview to optimize health, yield and profitability. The workshop includes classroom training, a walk through the Desert Farming Initiative's (DFI) apple orchard and finish off the day with a tasting of Nevada-grown apples!
