Frequently asked questions

Is this a free event?

Yes! We're asking for pre-registration so we can plan accordingly. PLUS: if you are in the first 100 people that register prior to May 8, you'll get a free t-shirt!

I only have a very small (or no) yard; should I still come?

Yes! If you have a deck, patio, balcony, or a pot on a front step, you should attend. If you have a small, medium, or large size yard, you should attend. If you have a few acres, join us. We'll get you thinking about native plant selections for all options.

I'm already an MZ, should I come?

Especially yes! We hope ALL past and current MZs can join us. Share your experience, get inspired for this year's rearing, and pick up milkweed plugs.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in seeing beautiful Monarchs, Swallowtails, Bumble Bees and other pollinating insects in our neighborhoods. Dwindling numbers of our pollinating insects should have us all concerned. Learn what you can do to help.

What if I want a t-shirt, but can't attend this event?

As of April 19, the free t-shirts have been claimed! We will have some extra t-shirts for sale at the event, and we'll have shirts available for sale at our tent at Monarchfest (July 13 at Indian Creek Nature Center) or drop us an email or message on Facebook and we can sell you one sooner!
