Frequently asked questions

Is this a free event?

Yes! We're asking for pre-registration so we can plan accordingly. PLUS: if you are in the first 100 people that register prior to May 4, you'll get a free t-shirt!

I only have a very small (or no) yard; should I still come?

Yes! If you have a deck, patio, balcony, or a pot on a front step, you should attend. If you have a small, medium, or large size yard, you should attend. If you have a few acres, join us. We'll get you thinking about native plant selections for all options.

I'm already an MZ, should I come?

Especially yes! We hope ALL past and current Monarch Zoness can join us. Share your experience, get inspired for this year's rearing, and pick up milkweed plugs. And bring a friend or neighbor who might enjoy the experience of rearing Monarchs in their yard and we'll get them started!

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in seeing beautiful Monarchs, Swallowtails, Bumble Bees and other pollinating insects in their yards and neighborhoods. Dwindling numbers of our pollinating insects should have us all concerned. Learn what you can do to help.

What if I want a t-shirt, but can't attend this event?

We will have a limited number of extra t-shirts for sale at the event and after. If you want us to reserve one for you, drop us an email or message us on Facebook.
