Join USGBC and AIA for a conversation on the #IRA's building efficiency and clean energy provisions.

<blockquote>This lively session will aim to inform and inspire the buildings sector to go deeper and farther in decarbonizing, with a focus on the interests of owners, developers, and design professionals. Experts who contributed to the Inflation Reduction Act will share timely details of the updated commercial and residential tax incentives (with new homes now featuring ENERGY STAR and net zero tiers), as well as the new efficiency and electrification rebates. We’ll highlight what you need to know including timelines, conditions, opportunities to stack incentives, and a few unknowns.  Funding for public buildings, emerging technologies, and air pollution reduction at schools in disadvantaged communities will also be highlighted.</blockquote><blockquote>The experts will share several groundbreaking investments aimed at low embodied carbon materials, including funds for Federal low carbon materials procurement and an EPA fund to support environmental product declarations. Presenters will discuss how these materials and products may be defined and how private projects can benefit from these investments. </blockquote><blockquote>We’ll also cover other programs in the Act that can be deployed to decarbonize buildings and support green infrastructure and landscapes, such as the Green Bank, BRIC program, Neighborhood Access and Equity Grants, Environmental and Climate Justice Block Grants, and others. Lastly, funding for codes in both the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the IRA will be reviewed, focusing on key opportunities to support code adoption and implementation, including stretch and zero codes. Several of these also provide opportunities for design professionals to support their local communities in pursuing funds for climate mitigation. </blockquote><blockquote>The session will have several Q&amp;A opportunities.
