The Co-Opolis team has also put together a special music series called "Opolis Sessions" that will highlight musicians from around the metro through live audio and video recording starting on June 8th at 8PM featuring The Nghiems and Carly Gwin.
This series will provide musicians the opportunity to have their live performances documented much like MTV’s Unplugged and will be made available on the Opolis virtual platforms following the event and artist approval.
The tickets from this event go towards the production of the show and to continue the series after the grant period ends in July. Tickets will also be available at the door if online tickets do not sell out.
Admission will be limited to 40 people as this will be an intimate evening intended to give the artist our full attention and provide them with the best atmosphere to produce great sound and video in front of a live audience. We expect to capture the sound of the room and this will be an opportunity for our patrons to be part of Norman music history, capturing your claps, glass clinks, on top of our incredible artists who will be entertaining for the evening!
This series is sponsored through the Live Music Society Toolbox Grant we were awarded in the Fall of 2023. The Live Music Society is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to championing smaller music venues. They provide support through grant programs that provide venues with crucial funds to improve the creative ecosystems of venues all over the US. They believe in building vibrant, inclusive, and thriving live music scenes that benefits everyone!
