Opera Night

The Temple building was completed in 1927, and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The seven-story, 160,000 sq ft building contains grand spaces including a marble lobby with original chandeliers, and a 3-story opera-house style theatre with vintage hand-painted backdrops dating to 1905. Take a trip back in time and support saving this unique, historic venue! The has a rich history, including serving as a USO center for WWII and featured John Philip Sousa at the grand opening in 1927. Today, The Salina Innovation Foundation is a 501(c)3 formed to save and repurpose this grand space for community. Temple events help to preserve and maintain the unique space for future generations to enjoy.
