<A HREF="http://annabellehan.com" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Annabelle Han Bao</A> will be giving the 4th performance of her “Opera Night” series at W83 Ministry Center in New York, in collaboration with maestro Keith Chambers. The theme of the concert is "The Queens" in Opera works; the subtitle “Queen of the Night” comes from the famous Mozart’s Magic Flute (Die Zauberflöte), which is part of the program selected to exhibit Ms. Bao's unique dramatic coloratura voice.
 
These songs include: Queen Anne Boleyn (Anna Bolena)’s aria “Come, innocente giovane” by Donizetti, Queen of the Night’s first act aria in Magic Flute “O zittre night,” Queen of the fairies Tytania’s aria “Be kind and courteous” in Britten’s opera A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Philine, an actress depicting Titania, Queen of the fairies, in Thomas’ opera Mignon.Both Benjamin Britten and Ambroise Thomas wrote arias based on A Midsummer Night's Dream, a renowned William Shakespeare's play, depicting the same character Titania, Queen of the fairies.
 
In addition to the queens’ arias, Ms. Bao will also perform a couple of songs from sacred literature, which include one of the most popular sacred songs for soprano “Rejoice greatly” from Handel’s Messiah and the beautiful "Laudate Dominum (Praise the Lord)" from Vesperae solennes de confessore by Mozart.
