The <a href="http://geospatial.asu.edu" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Map and Geospatial Hub</a> is pleased to be hosting <a href="https://www.meetup.com/PHXGeo/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PHXGeo</a> for an OpenStreetMap mapathon. PHXGeo is a community-based meetup group for those in the Phoenix area who like maps, GIS, OpenStreetMap, cartography, and anything in between -- a natural Hub collaborator.PHXGeo coordinators will introduce OpenStreetMap (the so-called &quot;Wikipedia of maps&quot;), demonstrate how to use the OSM web editor, and get the group mapping. This particular mapathon will target the metro Phoenix region itself, focusing on missing buildings and street segments. Participants are free to map any part of the OSM they wish.Twenty (20) desktop computer workstations are available for this workshop. The University Dr / Rural station is just a short walk from the Hub. We encourage all visitors to utilize this convenient, low-cost, sustainable public transportation alternative to driving.BicycleThere is ample bicycle parking (including, for ASU affiliates, bike valet) immediately adjacent to the Noble Library, where the Map and Geospatial Hub is located.AutomobileThe nearest automobile parking structures are the <a href="https://www.asu.edu/map/interactive/?id=120&amp;mrkIid=113722" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tyler Street Parking Garage</a> and the <a href="https://www.asu.edu/map/interactive/?id=120&amp;mrkIid=113723" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rural Road Parking Garage</a>. Both parking structures are open to visitors.
