About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Non-monogamy, polyamory, swinging, open relationships… there are so many ways we reference alternative relationship styles. Whether you’re opening up an existing relationship, or trying to design a new partnership, it can be hard! We have to confront many things about ourselves, our partners, and our relationship as we pursue this brand new world.

This course is designed to answer all the questions a couple might have about pursuing non-monogamy, as well as help you create a framework for your pursuit of non-monogamy.

First, you’ll be introduced to non-monogamy as a concept — tackling all the types of non-monogamy, the definitions, and, of course, jealousy. Then, you’ll define your individual values. Finally, you’ll come together with your partner to begin brainstorming on your boundaries, dealbreakers and overall desires.

    FAQs

    FAQ: what should I bring?

*A pen and paper for notes!

    FAQ: what should I wear?

*Whatever makes you comfortable! This isn't a sexy course and we will be sitting at tables.

FAQ: any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?)

*This is an all levels course — even if you're experienced in non-monogamy, the practices are intended to help you navigate big feelings, vetting, and how to deal with living as a non-monogamous single.

FAQ: can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner?

This is a couples-centric course, so we ask that you bring a partner! The tickets are priced for couples, so no need to purchase two.

    Organized by

Hit Me Up is New York City’s curated community for poly and kink. We run meetups, parties, and teach kink with House of Yes, Caveat, Torture Garden, Dances of Vice, and other venues around the city. We got our start running small events for our friends that quickly outgrew multiple venues. Now we are working to build the kink and poly community that NYC deserves—safer, friendlier, and weirder.
