Opening the Mountain: a Clockwise Walk around Mt Tam
Join park staff in a clockwise circumambulation of Mount Tamalpais following the steps of the ritual walk performed since 1971 by poets Gary Snyder and Allen Ginsberg. This hike will cover 15 miles of trails, stop at 10 inspirational points, and provoke new thoughts.
Meet at 8am at the parking area near the Mt Home Inn along Panoramic Highway.
Need to have tickets to participate. Bring good hiking boots, plenty of water, snacks, and other appropriate gear.
