Opening Day Lantern Tours

The Historic Village at Allaire is a non-profit, living history museum, located within Allaire State Park in Farmingdale, New Jersey. We manage and operate a 40 acre historic site, which includes a museum and multiple buildings from the 1800's. Our historic interpreters and guides provide visitors with a unique look at life inside an industrial village in 1836, and we host over 50 events each year. The Historic Village at Allaire does not receive state funding, and relies on grants, donations, memberships, retail sales, and fundraisers to help support our efforts to provide educational programming to the public.

<P>Spring has sprung! Get a rarely seen glimpse of village life after the sun goes down. <SPAN> </SPAN>This guided-tour gives you a well-rounded historical tour of the village, complete with a vist to the "May Pole", sights and sounds of hearthcooking at the Manager's House, the glow of hot iron being forged at the Blacksmith Shop and a visit to the Allaire Family. A little bit of theater, history, and mystery awaits!</P>
<P><SPAN>Kick off the 2019 season with this special event! </SPAN><SPAN><BR></SPAN></P>
<P>Advance ticket purchase is required. $20.00 per person (not recommended for children under 5 as it is a walking tour and strollers are not permitted in buildings). Group rates are available to parties over 25 individuals, please call the office to book your group tour 732-919-3500 ext 14.</P>
<P>Spaces are limited, so advanced ticket purchasing is highly recommended! Lantern tours begin at 6:30 pm and leave the Historic Row House & Village Museum (aka Visitor Center) every 15 minutes until 8:30 pm. This year to help keep everything moving smoothly, we are selling timed tickets to access the historic village for the Lantern Tours. Tours will still be on a first come, first serve basis.</P>
<P>This specialized tour takes about 90 minutes to complete and are both indoor and outdoor.  PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR TOUR TIME!</P>
