We are a group of Pacific Northwest students, scientists, researchers, educators, and librarians working to make scholarship and academia more open, inclusive, and accessible.

An OpenCon satellite conference, which aims to support regional efforts to make scholarship more open, inclusive, and accessible.

OHSU Robertson Life Sciences Building

We will convene in Portland, OR, on February 1st and 2nd, 2019 to engage in energizing conversations on all things open–with a focus on supporting young and early career professionals in science, scholarship, research, and librarianship. We aim to foster community building, gain an understanding of current issues within the research ecosystem, and form solutions to these obstacles as a regional community.In order to ensure that registration cost isn't a barrier to participation, attendees can choose to register for free, $5, or $10. For those that are able to contribute, we appreciate your help in making OpenCon Cascadia an affordable and accessible event. Schedule: We will begin with a Meet-and-Greet at the downtown Portland Mozilla Offices on Friday evening at 6pm.
