Community Yoga: with ASL Interpreter is a welcoming and inclusive class. No prior experience is necessary! Through gentle movement, light cueing, clear demonstration, and minimal verbal instruction, this class fosters mindfulness, body awareness, confidence, and connection in a supportive and encouraging community.
Registration Reminder: If you are bringing a support person or caregiver, please ensure you register for two tickets—one for yourself and one for your support person.
- What to Expect: In this 60-minute class, you’ll explore movement, mindfulness, and rest through guided instruction tailored to meet diverse needs. All movements are designed to teach mindfulness tools, build strength, and enhance flexibility, allowing you to move in a way that feels best for your body.
Accessibility & Support: Open Up classes are designed to be accessible to people with and without disabilities—everyone is welcome! Our facilitators create a supportive, sensory-inclusive environment and work to meet the unique needs of each participant. If you have a specific support need or any questions, please reach out at info@open-up.org.
Additional Information: This is a shared, welcoming space. Some participants may make sudden movements or sounds as they engage in class—this is part of our inclusive environment. Feel free to bring your own headphones if needed. A relaxation space is also available. We provide mats and supportive props, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
