About this event

Join us for Open Studio Maker Break, where you can join us in the studio from 12-1:30 pm on the first and third Fridays of every month to let out the week's stress through mindful, meditative crafting. Bring something you're working on, tinker freely with our supplies, or work on a pre-designed craft we'll have set up! Join us for a stress-free, relaxing afternoon and enjoy the community of your fellow crafters!

Tickets are available here for $10, or can be purchased at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I park?

Free parking is available in our lot in any space marked "BUILDING MOMENTUM".

Will the shop be open?

Yes! The shop is open 12-6 on Fridays, so feel free to peruse the shop in addition to attending Maker Break.

Are all materials provided?

Yes! Crafters are welcome to freely work with our tinker supplies, which consist of a variety of post-consumer materials from bottlecaps and soda tabs to feathers/pipe cleaners/paper and yarn scraps. We will also have a pre-planned craft available on the table.

Can I bring my own project?

Absolutely! We've had crafters bring projects like embroidery, sashiko on a denim jacket, collage, sewing, and more. Maker Break is an opportunity to make time for that craft you're in the middle of, to take a moment amid the stress of the week, and to connect with other crafters in the community!

Do I have to be there the whole time?

Nope. Open Studio Maker Break runs from 12-1:30pm, so feel free to arrive or leave whenever you please during that period.

Can I bring food?

Unfortunately, we prefer that no food is present in the studio space during crafting. Glue and snacks may not mix well! Drinks are fine. Thanks for your understanding :)
