****Open Studio is only for those who have taken at least one 4-week or one 8-week class at the Concho Clay Studio. As this is an independent work schedule, there will not be an instructor. There will be a worker for any questions but there will be no hands-on instruction. ****

WHERE TO GO:

Classes meet in the Concho Clay Studio at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, located at 1 Love Street, San Angelo, TX. 76903. The entrance is to the left of the museum in the breezeway.

CLASS SUPPLIES & MATERIALS:

No outside clay is permitted, all clay must be purchased at the Concho Clay Studio.

Students purchase clay during the first class. Cash, check, or credit cards are accepted. Museum members, seniors, and military receive a 10% discount on clay. You can become a museum member online at https://www.samfa.org/support or in person at the studio.

Basic tools are provided for all classes.

OPEN STUDIO ACCESS:

Any 4–8-week ceramic class has full access to Open Studio hours to work outside of class, while enrolled in a class.

There is no instructor available during Open Studio. Staff are available for questions or concerns only.

Summer Session Open Studio

SCHEDULE:

Tuesdays 10 am – 2 pm

Wednesdays 10 am – 2 pm

Thursdays 10 am – 2 pm

Fridays 10 am – 3 pm & 4 pm – 9 pm

Saturdays 10 am – 2 pm

Open Studio may occasionally be unavailable, please check ahead.

PLEASE NOTE:

Classes are for adults 18 years or older. Students 16-17 years of age may take the course if accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also registered for the class. If you are interested in children's programming, please visit https://www.samfa.org/education-at-samfa.

Only one ticket may be purchased at a time. Please use the name and contact information for the student taking the course if you are purchasing a ticket for another person.

If you cannot attend the class and will need a refund, please notify us as soon as possible to give us time to consider other students often on waitlists to get into classes.

REFUND POLICY:

Class Cancelation – 1 Week Prior to First Class Meeting: 100%

48 hours prior to First Class Meeting: 75%

After the 1st class: No Refunds

We determine refunds on a case-by-case basis. Our policy does not take attendance into consideration. All Eventbrite fees are non-refundable. Please email ceramics@samfa.org to request a refund.
