Have a sewing project or technique you're stuck on? Need help planning your next sew? Want to decide on some simple holiday gifts to sew?
Please bring your own machine and supplies if you have them. We'll have 1-3 sewing machines on hand for anyone to use but this will be on a first-come first-serve basis. We'll also have sewing supplies available for use.
This is an open sew, which means you can sew in the company of others and have help and guidance on your project from an experienced sewing instructor.
Please note: custom tailoring and heavy alterations are not appropriate to bring to Open Sew as they can require extensive time to execute. Examples of things we can assist with are project planning (fabric choice, where to buy, patterns to use), hemming, simple alterations (instructor's discretion), printing and assembling PDF patterns, and general sewing help.
Helpful note: you can print sewing PDF patterns for free at the library where Open Sew is being held. We can help with printing!
