Open House

Center for Domestic Peace (C4DP) leads a comprehensive community effort to end the #1 violent crime in Marin County: domestic violence. We provide transformational services and programs that protect and enhance victim safety, and ultimately engage our community in permanent change.C4DP holds the vision of a world in which domestic violence, abuse, and intimidation is replaced with domestic peace.  We believe that all women, youth, children, and men who are abused and at risk of abuse have a right to immediate and long-term safety.  We strive to create greater safety, justice, and equality for all by building awareness and action toward changing the social norms that promote or enforce violence against women.  We seek to make domestic violence a major community concern among all residents and social institutions (schools, hospitals, police departments, etc.).  We believe that change results from the action-oriented participation of large numbers of people, organizations, and institutions, inclusive of survivors.  We see intergenerational leadership as essential in our multigenerational task of ending domestic violence and violence against women and girls.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to recognize the impact of domestic violence in our communities and to promote awareness and prevention efforts.Join us for an inspiring evening as we honor individuals and organizations who are members of our Coordinated Community Response Network. These dedicated champions have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to helping us build a community free from violence.The event will feature resource sharing, networking opportunities, and a panel discussion focused on increasing access to justice for survivors of domestic violence.This year, we will present the prestigious Purple Ribbon Awards to recognize the remarkable efforts of those who have made significant contributions to our mission.This Year’s Honorees<ul><li>Lori Frugoli, Marin County District Attorney</li></ul>District Attorney Lori Frugoli has demonstrated unwavering dedication to advocating for victims of domestic violence and ensuring justice within the community. Her leadership has led to the implementation of progressive policies that enhance support for survivors and hold offenders accountable. <ul><li>Captain Jim Correa, Novato PD</li></ul>As a past Domestic Violence Liaison for the Novato Police Department, Captain Jim Correa has played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community. His commitment to training officers and raising awareness about domestic violence has significantly improved the response to these incidents, fostering a safer environment for all. <ul><li>Community Violence Solution’s Rape Crisis Center</li></ul>Community Violence Solutions has been instrumental in providing vital support services to survivors of sexual assault. Their comprehensive approach, which includes crisis intervention and prevention education, has made a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals in Marin County.These honorees have exhibited exceptional commitment and made significant strides in addressing domestic violence, inspiring those around them and creating a safer environment for all.
