Do you like the idea of having your non-believing neighbors over for dinner but nervous about all the details? Are you worried about the house being just right, having enough space, the kids behaving, (or worse!) knowing how to answer hard questions about the gospel?
This summer we will have an opportunity to think deeply and together about what it looks like to welcome our neighbors with the love of Jesus and engage them with his message.
Authors and pastors Zack Eswine and Mark Ryan are going to help us explore the life and ministry of Francis Schaeffer—a model of Christian hospitality and winsome engagement with non-believers. These two men have studied and taught on Shaeffer and the culture he established at L’Abri—Schaeffer’s ministry that modeled offering people a warm welcome and gospel truth. L'Abri made a major impact on many people—both believers and nonbelievers—and recaptured the vision of a community that welcomes honest questions and gives honest answers to those looking for hope.
This seminar will help us understand the model of Schaeffer’s ministry and how simple, intentional acts of hospitality show the gospel and provide opportunities to share the gospel. Our hope for this seminar is that we would all continue to grow in our desire and ability to welcome people into our lives so that we can engage their questions with gospel truth. We hope that you would join us for this weekend!
This seminar is FREE and open to the public! So if you want to learn about the power of hospitality in sharing the gospel, join us on July 12 and 13!
