Open Access Tracking Project Tagathon

The Simmons College chapter of ASIS&T (the Association for Information Science and Technology) is a student group devoted to technology as it relates to the field of library and information science. We plan events throughout the year covering a wide range of topics, including web design and coding, usability, 3D printing, data visualization, and open access.

<P>Join us for a hands-on event to support open access (OA).</P>
<P>The <A HREF="http://cyber.harvard.edu/hoap/Open_Access_Tracking_Project" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Open Access Tracking Project</A> is part of the Harvard OA Project. It uses social tagging to capture new developments on OA. The OATP mission is (1) to provide a real-time alert service for OA-related news and comment, and (2) to organize knowledge of the field by tag or subtopic. </P>
<P>Here, you'll get a quick overview of the OATP and begin contributing by tagging articles.</P>
<P>No experience necessary. Refreshments provided. </P>
