Online Storytime for Girls by My Darling Daughter
Welcome to our Online Storytime for Girls hosted by My Darling Daughter! Join us for fun and engaging meetings designed to foster a love for reading, practice essential literacy skills, and instill core values in young girls through storytelling and discussion.
Our summer session starts Wednesday June 5 and is 7 weeks long. Tuition ($60) covers meeting for 7 classes.
Each Wednesday we will focus on 1-2 virtues from the 9 Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Learners will embark on exciting literary works through age-appropriate texts, picture books, and short stories. After practice readings, we will discuss the text and conclude with a short craft activity.
Meetings will be held on Zoom for 7 classes (June 5, 12, 19, 26, and July 10, 17, 24)
Each learner will practice key components of reading including fluency and comprehension.
Led by Mrs. Candace Fisher, a Certified Reading Instructor with well over 3000 lessons in tutoring based on the Science of Reading. She is also a singer, musician, performer, and music instructor who enjoys reading stories with her two daughters.

A summer reading group geared toward fluency and comprehension for girls ages 6-9 years old. Goals are to 1) create an experience encouraging girls to read with confidence, and 2) build a foundation of understanding and reflection, applying the Fruits of the Spirit in everyday life.
Yes, a girls-only reading group designed for young girls to practice reading skills while discovering the beauty of virtues through healthy discussions, life lessons, support, bonding and friendship with their peers.
Learners meet online once a week for 50-60 minutes on Zoom. Learners can connect from anywhere with a good wi-fi connection. Reading materials will be shared during class time, purchasing works not required, however supplies for the craft activity will need to be provided by the Parent.
There will be no makeups or refunds offered for any missed classes. However, classes will be recorded if you are unable to attend. We encourage commitment and participation from our learners so that they progress and experience the themed course in its entirety.
