ONLINE Public Speaking/Leadership Training: Celebration Kenner Toastmasters

In the Toastmasters curriculum and membership experience, you will learn basic skills that will not only enhance your performance at work but also improve the way you conduct your everyday life. Whether you’re a professional, student, stay-at-home parent, or retiree, Toastmasters is the best way to build great communication skills. Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation.

At Toastmasters, we learn by doing and by making mistakes. Though you will work through a series of assignments developed by Toastmasters at your own pace, these assignments will teach you skills that benefit you in your everyday life. You will be given valuable, constructive feedback during each meeting that will help you hone your skills and become a better speaker.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR FIRST TOASTMASTERS MEETING:

We meet every Monday from Noon to 1 PM Central. Please arrive at least five minutes early.

• Toastmasters Meetings are not webinars! At Toastmasters, we interact with each other, so please keep your cameras and mics on and sit in an area with decent lighting so that we can see and hear you!

• You will be asked to participate, but participation is not mandatory at your first meeting. We will, however, ask you to introduce yourself at the beginning of the meeting and get your thoughts on the meeting as a whole at the end.

• Our meetings run on pre-planned agendas, so don’t worry, you won’t be lost! We will explain everything that will happen before it happens and what role each member plays during the meeting ahead of time.
