About this event

Please take a moment to read our whole event description and polices.

This is a fun two session class of guided instructions to help you create up to four functional pieces of pottery on the pottery wheel. Choose your date to come use the pottery wheel and at the end of class choose your date to return for glazing. This class can hold up to six people and is perfect for anyone who has a lot, little or no experience.

Snacks and BYOB welcome, must be 21+ for BYOB

You have the option to come back at a later date to glaze your piece (the second visit is INCLUDED in this price and you will be able to choose a date at the end of your class).

Most work will be ready to pick up in two weeks. Pieces can be picked up from 7-9PM on nights we have other classes. You can contact the studio staff at info@potterymill.com to find a time to pick up. Your art will be held no longer than 2 months after the work is ready for pick up.

Must be over the age of nine (9). ***Please note that using the pottery wheel requires some physical strength and control which may not be suitable to all individuals. The multistep process also requires critical thinking, attention, and memory. We are happy to work with any physical or mental condition but PLEASE REACH OUT TO US AT info@potterymill.com with questions or concerns prior to your registration.***

You must come back to glaze your work within 6 weeks of a workshop (or we will discard them). It is your responsibility to schedule another glaze time to come back if your previously decided date has changed!

Please arrive on time; classes have multiple people and detailed instructions follow a schedule.

Your ticket includes both visits, all directions, materials, and kiln firing fees.

Cancellation and rescheduling policy.

We do not offer refunds for cancellations. We do understand life happens and can offer to reschedule to a date within the next 2 months.

To reschedule your workshop you MUST CONTACT THE STUDIO at info@potterymill.com more than 72 hours ahead of your class AND choose a rescheduled date by Thursday morning so staff have enough time to open your original spots for new guests. Unfortunately, we can not offer any rescheduling options to guests who contact us less than 72 hours of an event, don’t choose a new date in time, or do not show up to their scheduled class. As a small business, it is hard to fill up newly opened spots with short notice. We do understand life and things change quickly so please consider this when purchasing your tickets as we cannot fill up those spaces on short notice. You are welcome to send another friend/family in your place through your own effort when it will be too last minute on our end.

If cancelations are at fault of the studios or regulations followed by our state, we will offer additional classes specifically to accommodate the canceled workshop dates, when deemed appropriate to do so. Guests who do not confirm or reach out to the studio via email within the time frame of the added workshops will follow the same rescheduling protocol as if they cancel the class themselves (the paragraph above).

We'd also like to remind you that we hold your pottery for up to two months from the date you visited. After that time, your pieces will be reclaimed and used to make new clay for future classes. If you are not able to come to the date you chose at the end of your first evening with us, please email us so we can let you know when you can come back to glaze your work.

Pieces made in:

May will be recycled at the end of July

June will be recycled at the end of August

Once your pieces are done it will take a few weeks for them to be fired, please feel free to email us with your initials/photos so we can check on those for you and tell you our available pick up times.
