ONE-DAY / Pottery Class / $85

July 19th - Saturday from 10:00am-1:00pm

Come join our pottery community for a fun! Learn how to handbuild mugs, cups, bowls, dinnerware, mini animals scultpures, and more out of clay! The pottery wheels will be set up for those that want to give the wheel a go. The fundamentals of throwing clay on a wheel will be shown. Our teachers can teach anyone at any level. Each student will recieve 5 pounds of clay to practice throwing. 3 pounds of various colors of clay will be given for the hand building project. Everyone is welcome for three hours of pottery fun! Our team will fire and finish all the pieces and they will be ready for pick up 3 weeks after the event.

Teenagers and mature non teenage kids are welcome.

About Mel Rice:

Melissa spent 8 years at the pottery studio at the Fort Mason Campus of San Francisco City College as both a student and a studio manager. This experience taught her every facet of ceramics from glaze making to throwing, giving her a wide breath of knowledge u by other ceramists. She is currently a full time production potter in San Francisco.
