Ada’s Listis a global community of women and non-binary people who work in and around the internet. Ada's List exists to make women in technology stronger as a community and as individuals. We want to create change at scale — change in existing, patriarchal and racist power structures — whether these structures are a part of the culture of a company, a more overt policy, or work processes that consciously or unconsciously sideline women.Ada’s List is intersectional. Getting uncomfortable with our privilege, bias, and 3 actions to take: an event to keep focused on dismantling racist structures

<a href="https://adaslist.co" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ada List </a>members from all over the world have raised their hand to do the right thing to support the global Black Lives Matter uprising, to help stop injustice, and to help achieve equality for all. The problem is - as passionate people who want to support our Black colleagues, we don’t always know the right way. We don’t know what we don’t know. And as white women/people who identify as such, we need to learn when to step up &amp; speak out about racial injustice and when we need to listen &amp; pass the mic. We need to learn how to offer support whilst not centering ourselves and not taking up too much space. On July 2nd, we are hosting an event, Getting uncomfortable with our privilege, bias, and 3 actions to take in the next month, to focus on white privilege and to try to answer some questions to help give each of you more confidence to stand up against racial discrimination. Panel discussion with: Ashanti Bentil-Dhue is an Inclusion &amp; Equity Expert who specialises in helping organisations invest in millennial and generation z black female talent in the UK. <a href="https://www.twitter.com/eventmindpro" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@eventmindpro</a>Shefaly Yogendra is a non-exec board director of two LSE-listed companies and an independent Governor of London Metropolitan University. <a href="https://www.twitter.com/shefaly" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@shefaly</a>Naomi Jane is founder of A Life Less Ordinary Wanted and AFEMMERA. She has been coaching female founders &amp; leaders from under represented backgrounds for 6 years and is passionate about dismantling the cisnormative heteronormative white supremacist patriarchy.<a href="https://www.twitter.com/naomi_jane" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> @naomi_jane</a>Khaleelah Jones is the founder and CEO of Careful Feet Digital.
