8:15 – Bat Talk: Learn about the world of bats, pick up some myth-busting bat facts, and find out more about these cool and vital mammals of the night!

8:45 – Bat Activity Trends (BAT) Community Science Program: At dusk we will observe our local Washington bats in action as they emerge for the night to feed on all our mosquitoes and other pests and learn all about the new community science program from Woodland Park Zoo. We will show you how you can help scientists learn more about local bats!Bats Northwest is a nonprofit organization formed in 1996 by scientists, educators, and interested lay people to help protect Pacific Northwest bat populations through education and research. http://www.batsnorthwest.org/
