ON POINT Women Warriors Writing Workshop/Tampa Bay
Date and time
Description
Dear Tampa Bay Women Veterans & Women Military Family Members:
YOU have a story -- a story that matters.
Whether you're interested in writing for self-reflection, a family legacy, or publication, you'll want to gift yourself with this how-to ON POINT Women Warriors Writing Workshop led by notable, award-winning veteran-authors and writing instructors Kayla Williams, Carol Barkalow, Jerri Bell, Paula Broadwell, Tracy Crow, and Laura Westley. (See profiles!)
For more than 250 years the stories of women's military contributions have been discounted or diminished to little more than a footnote by historians, yet women actually served in combat, secretly dressed as men, during the American Revolution and the Civil War. In fact, American women have volunteered for military service, often breaking with social norms, every time our country has answered a call to arms.
If you have served in uniform or supported a loved one in uniform, you are a warrior and a patriot. Join us for a daylong celebration of military sisterhood as we explore the value of owning and writing HERstory!
