About this event

Join us at Film Streams in the Ruth Sokoloff Thearter for the world premiere of two original shorts films.

Ollie Webb Center, Inc. is proud to present two short films, written, created, and produced by The Art of Imagination students, staff, and community partners. This event will open with a red carpet walk with paparazzi and a photo booth where stars and guests can dress up and pose as their favorite characters from the films. Concessions will be available for purchase from Film Streams and then it's off to the theater for the world premiere double feature of 'Color My World' and 'We Could Be Heroes'. Following the premiere, the cast and crew will peel back the curtain and share their experience in moviemaking in an audience talk-back session. The film viewing will begin at 6:30pm.

Film Descriptions:

"Color My World"

A struggling musician, Kal needs to make ends meet and reluctantly starts a new job at B.L.A.N.D., a company headed by a grumpy boss, staffed by some not-so-colorful workers, and where music of any kind is strictly forbidden. All seems hopeless until Kal 'bands' together with his coworkers and sparks a creative flame that could transform all of their lives for the better.

"We Could Be Heroes"

Students of the Dolly Bev Center are enjoying an otherwise normal day in class when tragedy strikes and their teacher is suddenly abducted by a group of frankly, goofy henchmen and a mysterious letter left behind by one Madame Beau R. Krat tells the students they must meet her at her evil lair to win their teacher back. The students, albeit not all of them enthusiastically, don superhero identities and, working together, head off to face their fate, be it success or peril.
