Enjoy a free one-hour guided tour through Old Town Fairfax. See the original Courthouse (built in 1800) where George and Martha Washington’s wills are stored. Explore sites of Civil War violence, espionage, and unlikely romance centered around that Rebel bandit, John S. Mosby. And discover local grandees like Ratcliffe, Farr, and Willard, whose legacies formed our City.

The tour starts at the front of the Historic Fairfax Courthouse (corner of Main St. and Chain Bridge Rd.)

No. Please bring your own water, hat, etc. Comfortable walking shoes are also recommended.

Halfway through the tour there is a stop at the Antonia Ford House where attendees may use the restroom and refill their water bottles.

Absolutely! Families are welcome on the tour.
