‘Bite-sized’ Second Saturday studio tours kick off March 9, 2024
A “bite-sized” program of studio tours known as Second Saturday begins March 9 with 14 Ojai Studio Artists (OSA) in Oak View and the West End opening their private workspaces, kicking off a program that continues every month through July.
Unlike OSA’s main October event, in which all 60+ OSA artists open their spaces in a single weekend, Second Saturdays focus on a specific neighborhood, offering visitors a more manageable list of studios to visit.
“Second Saturdays is relaxed, manageable and a lot of fun,” says OSA President Linda Taylor. “You can take your time and really appreciate the work and the places where this spectacular art is made.” Second Saturdays are entirely free - check the website www.ojaistudioartists.org for a list of participating artists and samples of each artist’s work, which can be helpful in planning a “choose-your-own adventure” tour.
The Ojai Studio Artists is a community of 70+ artists including painters and sculptors, photographers and ceramicists, digital artists and printmakers. Our ranks include artists known around the world as well as emerging talents, all working together to promote art awareness, support student education and celebrate the vibrant creative legacy of the Ojai valley.
