No Girl at the Inaugural Ball? We can't believe it either. OhNo!
And so we are hosting the best place to be on Inauguration Night -- The OhNo!Gural Ball.
We were surprised, too. It wasn't the year we wanted or expected. But it is the one we are trained for. And our training tells us that at the worst of times, people have to come together - unify, inspire, console, and connect.
Come to the OhNo!Gural Ball to find friends - old and new - during this challenging transition of power. Our event will lift our collective spirits and raise money for amazing local charities that fight every day for everything our President-elect wants to attack. If you find yourself alternating between terrified, enraged, and ready to get engaged, come to the OhNo!Gural Ball to find those who will stand with you and who need you to stand with them.

- Liberal Dress Code (Ballgowns and Pantsuits are always optional)
- Excellent DJ music to groove on (of course)
- Full Cash Bar (Many special Vodka-themed Drinks, of course)
- A Delightful Evening at the Special and Wonderful Verdi Club
- Lite food such as: Russian Hacker Cracker Bar, Kitty Cookies up for "Grabs", No Wall Around the Chips & Guacamole
- An Evening of Suprises, Support, Solidarity - all in the good name of kicking in a few bucks for charity
- Kids are welcome; anyone under 21 must be accompanied by an adult

All ticket sales (not net proceeds, all of your ticket price) will directly go to support local organizations that are on the frontlines of fighting for critical issues affecting our friends and neighbors right here in the San Francisco Bay Area:

-ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: Grid Alternatives

We are the friends that brought you the amazing Obama Inaugural Ball in January 2009 (@ElectricWorks). We had so much fun (and raised some good money for charity back then too!) expecting hope and change that we had to do it again. But this time around, we keenly know that hope and community and solidarity are so much more important. Some of us want to bury our heads in our pillows and come out when it is all over. But we can't and you can't. We have to come together. Cesar Chavez taught us that change starts by coming together, finding out what we have in common, what motivates us to work together, and only then can we realize the change we want to have happen. The OhNo!Gural Ball Organizing Committee is planning a special evening to bring our Bay Area friendship network together-- to engage, inspire, and most of all -- to know we are in this together. We will also protest together (I think alot), but for one night - the first night -- let's not let the Inauguration get us down - let's get unified.
