Overview

Swipe right, shame spiral: a dark romantic comedy about online dating and falling for the wrong person.

Offended is a dark romantic comedy about one woman’s journey to find love online despite the odds. Unfortunately, she just happens to find it with a registered sex offender. Well… sort of. It’s not what you think.

Set against the backdrop of today’s often-frustrating dating culture, the play hilariously dissects the complexities of overlooking red flags, the fragility of self-worth in the search for love, and the shame spirals that ensue when we lose ourselves in the process. As the story unfolds, deeper questions emerge about shame, intimacy, and examines how unresolved wounds and experiences of trauma shape our search for connection.

By turns thoughtful, awkward, and toe-curlingly funny, Offended explores the messy intersections of love, loneliness, trauma, and healing. For anyone tired of swiping right and feeling left behind, this one’s for you.
