Off Trail Mystery Hike (strenuous)

This hike will be predominately off-trail. The wilderness inside Mt. San Jacinto Park has many unique features that can’t be experienced while on designated trails. In some places the terrain will be steep and rocky requiring careful judgement.

During the hike we’ll be pointing out landmarks on a topographic map. If you have the “San Jacinto Peak, Calif.” quadrangle map, bring it so you can follow along. You may purchase a topo mail at the Visitor Center on the Ground floor of the Mountain Station or at the Long Valley Ranger Station.

This hike will be led by Wilderness Patroller members of Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness. There will be at least 2 leaders on this hike. Preparedness and safety are of paramount importance.
