Off Script: The Open Frequency

Open Jam Experience is a live, multi-sensory music event designed to bring artists and community into a shared space of spontaneous creation, cultural expression, and radical inclusion.

At its core, the experience is an open-format jam session where musicians, vocalists, poets, and creatives of all disciplines are invited to step into an evolving soundscape curated by a live band. The structure is fluid, artists can join, collaborate, and rotate in real time, blurring the line between performer and audience.

Rooted in a mission to center the brilliance and leadership of Black women, the event creates a space where intellectual, creative, and cultural expression can thrive unapologetically. It is both a celebration and a reclamation of space, where Black women are not just present, but are the architects of the experience.

What sets Open Jam Experience apart is its intentional design for accessibility. The event incorporates multi-sensory elements, including vibration, visual cues, and inclusive performance practices, to ensure that guests who are Deaf or hard of hearing can fully engage with the music and atmosphere. By reimagining how sound is experienced, we expand who gets to participate.
