A Time of Remembrance and Reflection

Please join us for a moving community gathering that weaves together music, readings, storytelling, and ritual to honor those lost and reflect on the enduring impact of October 7th. The program will alternate between readings and poetry, creating space for reflection, remembrance, and meaning. Interwoven with these moments, musicians will offer songs that carry both sorrow and hope, providing opportunities for reflection and connection.

Community members may be invited to share personal stories or readings, adding depth and intimacy to our shared remembrance. Grounding our time together in sacred tradition, prayers including the Kaddish and El Malei Rachamim will be offered as part of our collective mourning. In a moment of profound significance, we will begin the careful and respectful removal of photos of hostages who have been returned, honoring each individual and holding space for the complexity of this time.

A central element of the program will be the lighting of candles—symbols of resilience and light in the face of darkness. As the program comes to a close, participants will be invited to place these candles on a nearby hill, forming a powerful communal symbol of hope and unity. This will be a gathering of solemn reflection, heartfelt remembrance, and collective strength.
