About this event

  • 7 hours

This workshop is all about learning the basics of observational sketching & painting on the go in Rome. I'll be giving you some essential, first hand experience creating your own travel illustrations and scenes.

While walking the streets of Rome and I’ll guide you through my approach to choosing locations, creating compositions, simplifying complex scenes and using expressive inkwork to really showcase the city I’ll also be showing you how to paint and add color to a scene using watercolor. I will also be doing multiple live demonstrations of my sketching and painting throughout the day.

By the end of this workshop you should feel comfortable tackling any complex street scene, sketching it in your own style.

We will visit several locations in the centre of Rome on foot, pausing for longer periods to practice drawing and painting. There will be a one-hour break for lunch at about 1pm

Workshop will be delivered in English
