The NYU Langone Health RFI Roundtable: Creating a Community Clean Power Agreement is a Task Force outcome of the 9/20 AEG Action Challenge on Health, Energy and Equity during Climate Week NYC.

Objective:

Convene industry experts to inform project scope development for a ~ 180 kW solar installation on the roof of the Sunset Park Family Health Center at NYU Langone Brooklyn to ultimately become an RFP.

*Participants of this RFI Roundtable will be able to respond to future RFP.

Desired outcomes:

1) Effective discussion and consensus regarding opportunities and key considerations this project should account for, including resilience, sustainability, equitable community benefit, cost and timing.

2) Align on a viable project scope framework, informed by public and private stakeholders, that best benefits all key parties, including high priority Brooklyn residents.

3) Position NYU Staff to develop and post a RFP for this project in an effective and efficient manner.

3 invited speakers will lay out suggested key considerations regarding the implementation of CCPA that addresses key factors such as feasibility, funding, solving for inequitable health and financial burdens, timing and cost.

Speakers have 8 minutes and 5 slides to present key considerations, information, challenges and/or opportunities that should be addressed when developping this community benefit oriented solar project / CCPA.
