Join us on June 29th in Bellevue, Washington for a night of celebration, inspiration, and empowerment at our annual fundraising gala. Hosted by New Young Scholar (https://nyscholars.org/) (NYS), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders, this event promises to be a memorable evening filled with hope and promise.
Our mission is to create a vibrant community dedicated to academic excellence, leadership, and positive social impact. We believe in fostering diverse perspectives and ideas, driving innovative solutions, and promoting positive change. Through active support in community service, we address social needs and promote growth.
This year, our fundraising goals are more ambitious than ever. We aim to raise scholarship funds to support low-income and immigrant students who aspire for academic excellence. We also seek to secure a budget for the infrastructure of our organization, including the creation of research centers and makerspaces to support students aspiring for STEM pathways.
But that’s not all. We also aim to celebrate the academic and professional excellence of our current members and attract more partners to join our cause. We believe in the power of collaboration and know that together, we can make a difference.
Finally, we will be celebrating the rich and diverse African culture and showcasing the promising efforts being made in the US diaspora that contribute to the development of African countries.
