Our format is nearly identical to a book club but instead of discussing a book, we will discuss a movie. May's feature will be Casa de Lava (1995) d. Pedro Costa (110 minutes).
HOW TO REGISTER: Each month we will select a film from PROJECTR, NYPL's platform for streaming independent films, access to which is available at any time through any web browser with the use of a library card. Simply click HERE and sign in with the NYPL card number and PIN and look up Casa de Lava (1994) in the search.
In addition, we will offer an in-person screening of the selected film at the 53rd Street Library branch (18 W 53rd St, New York, NY 10019). This will occur on the second Thursday of June at 1PM.
