NY FALL 2024 Edge4Vets Workshop

WELCOME to Edge4Vets!

Our Free in-person workshop helps you translate your military strengths into "tools" for civilian success, then we connect you to decision-makers at our partner companies to explore opportunities for good jobs that can lead to great careers.

The workshop, which is conducted by the Human Resiliency Institute in the Gabelli School of Business in partnership with NYC Department of Veterans' Services, NYC-SHRM and our partner companies.

We're planning for the date and location in the fall, but you can PRE-REGISTER now - and we'll be in touch to get you prepared.

THREE WAYS Edge4Vets provides you with "in person" support:

1. At the workshop we'll introduce you to business leaders and HR reps (decision makers from our partner companies) who will work with you in small-groups to help you identify your strengths from the military, including Values and Skills. We'll teach you how to translate your military strengths for civilian success. Mentors will provide support and get you started on creating a personal PLAN4SUCCESS for an "edge" to get hired.

2. Following the workshop we'll give you access to our Edge4Vets online course for those who wish to take their strengths-translation preparation from the workshop to the next level. Through a series of short videos and exercises, the online course will guide you to refine your PLAN and put it into final form before you submit it to earn your Edge4Vets Certificate.

3. Also, we'll give those who participate in the workshop a list of the HR reps from our partner companies. You'll be able to contact them for help to MATCH your skills and interests from your personal PLAN to explore opportunities at their companies - and line up interviews.

All of this is designed to put you on a pathway to success in civilian life.
