NY ART WEEK Rooftop Event for Art Collectors, Creators & Enthusiasts

Join us on Thurs May 02 from 6:30 PM at Creatures at Selina Rooftop (W27&10) for an evening of great company, sunset cocktails and insightful conversation with contemporary abstract painter Andrea Belag, art advisor Rob Fields, and expert on collections management Katja Zigerlig. Talk will start around 7PM, moderated by Aza Benyatov.

Hear perspectives on what it means to cultivate and evolve a great art collection in today's art market, and meet fellow art collectors, creators and artists in a vibrant rooftop setting overlooking the city skyline. We can't wait to see you there!

About Andrea Belag:

Andrea Belag is a contemporary abstract painter, known for oil paintings and works on paper that have emotional impact through color, light, performative gesture and spatial complexity. Belag’s work has been exhibited and collected throughout the United States and internationally in institutions including The Jewish Museum, NY; Pera Museum, Istanbul; Mead Museum, Amherst; Newark Museum, NJ; New Jersey State Museum, NJ; Heinz Holtmann, Cologne, Germany; Sprengel Museum, Hanover, Germany and Jeddah Collection, United States Embassy, Saudi Arabia, and many private collections.

Belag has been the recipient of honors and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation and National Endowment for the Arts, among others. Belag studied the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, and was a Faculty Member at the School of Visual Arts, in New York from 1995 to 202.

In 2017, she completed “Brooklyn Transitions”, a commission located at Avenue U in Brooklyn for the MTA Arts & Design, that consists of 30 permanent glass artworks celebrating the literal and figurative movement of New Yorkers in grand and vibrant gestural abstraction. Belag was awarded a commission by the New York Cultural Council to do a site-specific art installation for Fire Station EC268 LC137 in Far Rockaway, Queens for 2026.

Belag was born in Manhattan, and lives and works in TriBeCa and Far Rockaway, Queens. She is represented by Bienvenu, Steinberg & J gallery in New York.


About Rob Fields:

Rob Fields is the founder & CEO of Mighty Mighty LLC, an art consultancy and art advisory firm that connects collectors and institutions to today's new and emerging artists who will be tomorrow's household names. Rob Fields' professional career spans decades, during which he led cultural institutions, represented artists, produced events and indie film, done PR, and worked on account teams at New York City marketing agencies and trade associations.

Fields currently serves on the Board of Trustees for UnionDocs, the Queens, NY-based center for documentary art. He is also a founding board member of the African Burial Ground Memorial Foundation, dedicated to advancing the National Monument and Historic Landmark site at 290 Broadway in New York City.

Fields is an avid photographer and lives in Brooklyn.


About Katja Zigerlig:

Katja Zigerlig is VP Art, Wine and Collectibles at Berkley One, a WRB company. She consults with collectors as well as insurance and financial advisors on the physical and financial protection of passion investments. With more than two decades of experience in the art world, she has insured private collections, museums, galleries and exhibitions for HUB International, AIG Private Client Group and AXA Art Insurance.

Katja is also a guest lecturer at Christie’s Education Department. Throughout her career, she has presented on art and wine collecting in the context of alternative investments, asset protection, trust and estate planning and has lectured at The College Art Association, University for Applied Arts in Vienna, the UBS Arts Forum in Wolfsburg, and the Swiss Embassy in Washington, D.C. Katja has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Reuters, Worth Magazine, Barron’s, ARTnews and appeared on CNBC’s Power Lunch.

Katja has a B.A and M.A. in Art History. She is a board member of The Foundation of the American Institute of Conservation, and a member of The Friends of the Swiss Institute Committee.
