NŪR: A Choral Sound Bath with Bloom Sound Collective

After a sold-out event in 2023, Bloom Sound Collective 🌸 will resurrect its signature experience: the choral sound bath. 💫

Molding together choral music and traditional sound healing rituals, this event will feature:

• 12 of New York City's best vocalists 🎶
• 4-5 sound healing artists 🧘‍♀️
• 1 cellist 🎻
  

✨ About NŪR:

Inspired by the diversity of our shared human experience, this program will honor a variety of spiritual traditions to celebrate the divine light (or "NŪR") that shines within us all. 🙏

Listeners will enjoy choral repertoire by Caroline Shaw, John Tavener, Anna Þorvaldsdóttir, and Frank Ticheli alongside healing instruments like crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, shruti box, chimes, drums, and many more. 🌀

Honoring everything from mystic Islam to Paganism to traditional Christianity and more, this program is carefully curated to remind us of the power of the human spirit and the human voice — a healing instrument we all possess. 🤲🏼

Whether you're a lover of choral music, a dedicated meditator, or simply looking for a unique and uplifting experience, this event is for you. 🦋 Bring your most open and authentic selves.

✨ Ticket Types:

• General Admission: Claim a spot to lay down on the floor of the church, first-come first serve when doors open. Bring your own yoga mat and amenities and soak in the full "sound bath" experience. (don't be shy, some people bring comforters!)
• VIP: We will reserve one of the best spots for you! Limited availability, yoga mats provided (and some other surprises, too).
• Seated: Sit upright along the perimeter of the space. Limited availability, chairs provided.
• Donation: Can't make it but want to support Bloom's mission? Please feel free to donate any amount of your choosing.

Nestled on a quiet street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Church of the Ascension is an intimate, sacred space with arched ceilings, stained-glass windows, and quaint brick walls. 💒 Adorned with candles, flowers, and soft lighting, guests will enjoy a fully acoustic sound experience in this reverberant sanctuary. 🕯🌹

No refunds. 🎟 Our ticket revenue provides vital funds to pay our artists competitively. There is limited capacity in the venue, which has been carefully selected to ensure an intimate and safe setting. Each spot is precious.

Bloom Sound Collective is a community of musicians and sound healing artists that create safe and supportive spaces for sonic exploration and self-discovery through sound baths and immersive concerts. Since its founding in 2022, the Collective has worked with renowned collaborators in New York City including the World Trade Center, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Choral Chameleon, Sound Mind Live, Yvette Vexta, and Spirituality Week NYC. Bloom's signature "choral sound bath" molds vocal repertoire with traditional sound healing instruments and has been produced across the city and the greater northeast — bringing sound meditation to new audiences through innovative and first-of-its-kind programming.
