Nueva Math Circle

The Nueva School

Nueva Math Circle is a joyful community event where guest mathematicians and math educators lead students from preK–10th grade in engaging math activities or investigations. Students also have the option to explore math games and puzzles in the I-Lab. For the upcoming Math Circle, we will have the following guest speakers:

<LI CLASS="li3">Stephanie Englehaupt, Nueva Math Specialist (Pre-K and 1st Grade sessions)</LI>
<LI CLASS="li3">David Klein, SF Math Circle (2nd-3rd and 4th-5th Grade sessions)</LI>
<LI CLASS="li3">Steven Chanan, Nueva MS Math Teacher/Mathcounts (6th-7th and 8th-10th Grade sessions)</LI>
</UL>
This is NOT a drop-off event for Lower School students. Parents are invited to join their child(ren) in the LS session. El Tonayense taco truck will be on site and pizza will be available for purchase. Online registration is required as every Math Circle was sold out last year. This is a community outreach event that is open to the public.
Scholarships to Nueva Math Circle are available if the registration fee is a financial hardship. Scholarships will be confidential and based on the honor system. Please email Math Circle’s Faculty Advisor, Lora Saarnio @ <A HREF="mailto:lsaarnio@nuevaschool.org" TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">lsaarnio@nuevaschool.org</A> to request a scholarship.
