On behalf of the Truckee Donner Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, The Trust for Public Land, Feather River Land Trust, and the Sierra Business Council, we invite you to the Northern Sierra Partnership's 7th Annual Celebration and Picnic at Lacey Meadows!

All guests must park and check-in at the registration tent in the parking lot at the intersection of HWY 89 and Jackson Meadows Rd.

Shuttle service will be provided to the Lacey Meadows trailhead, which is a short walk from the picnic site.
Shuttles will depart every 30 minutes starting at 9:00am. The last shuttle down to Lacey Meadows will be at 11:30am, so please arrive before then.
Limited parking will be available at the trailhead only for those requiring special assistance. Please contact us if you need special assistance.

Schedule of Events

9:00 AM- 12:00 PM Activities led by expert naturalists and friends of the Partnership.

Activities Schedule:

#1: Long Hike through Lacey Meadows (6 miles)- Sign up is required in advance.
Please email kdodson@northernsierrapartnership.org if you are interested in participating.
Take a full tour of Lacey Meadows and experience all its wildflower displays. The route involves fording Lacey Creek so please bring water shoes, or a small towel to dry your feet if you prefer to cross barefoot.
Start time: 9:00am
Difficulty: Moderate

#2: Wildflower Walk (~3 miles)- Get ready to botanize and discover the spectacular flora of the Sierra Nevada!
This hike will take a slower pace and stop frequently to identify native wildflowers and other plant species. Be sure to bring your field lens, if you have one.
Start time: 10:00am
Difficulty: Easy

#3: Family Nature Walk (1 hour)- An ecological treasure hunt for naturalists of all ages!
Start time: 10:30am
Difficulty: Easy

#4: Canoeing on Webber Lake (all morning on a first come, first served basis)-
We'll have a half-dozen boats available for use at the southwest edge of Webber Lake. You're also welcome to bring your own boat or raft for paddling around!
Start time: 9:00am

#5: Fly Casting Lesson- Sign up is required in advance.

Introduction to fly fishing.
Start time: 10:00am

If you don't feel like participating in a guided activity, you can come and just relax by the lake or go on a self-guided hike.

***If you plan to bring your watercraft to Webber Lake, you must fill out an Aquatic Invasive Species form. Parking near the launch ramp at the Lake is expected to fill up before 10:00am, so plan to arrive early!

12:00 PM- 2:00 PM Summer picnic provided by Red Truck. Entertainment provided by musical guests Angele and Chauncey.
